I 100x my networth this cycle It took hitting rock bottom multiple times to get here That said, I’d do it all over again if I could, even if they were tough years > End of the 2021 bull > No solid income, made money bartending, dog-sitting + babysitting > Moved to my grandparents house to lower living costs to a minimum > Built a gaming guild then pivoted to marketing agency, helped a couple clients build gamified Discord servers > Gambled my income on random NFTs (I had no idea what I was doing) > Made ~$5K from a marketing job which allowed me to go to Mexico for a couple months (idea was to lower costs even more + live a little, not smart in retrospect) > Continued working on the agency but every outreach was a dead-end > Began applying for dozens of jobs > No answers for weeks on end > Burnt through the very last of my savings, including money my parents had set aside for me during childhood > Ended up capitulating and moving back in with my parents > Job search continued for more months > By this point I was beyond defeated psychologically > Finally got a job, moved to Lisbon (again, chasing lower living costs) > Borrowed money from my parents for rent deposit > Worked full time marketing, living paycheck to paycheck > Wrote a gaming newsletter for ~9 months, investors from Bitkraft + a16z subscribed > Streamed gaming on Twitch in my spare time > Met a lot of my current friends through crypto gaming communities > $ARB airdrop gave me a few thousand $ in savings > Late 2023 I was so burnt out from my job (making $1.5K/month), I quit to go full-time content > Made $250 per video so a handful of sponsorships were enough for me to get by > My monthly income 10x by early 2024 > The rest is history Never ever give up Whatever your story is – every hardship, every failure is leading you towards your higher self I’m infinitely grateful to have stuck around, this industry has changed my life in more ways than one + it gave me a reason to wake up everyday
