You can activate Pay in just a few steps, depending on whether you've completed identity verification.

  2. Tap on the Pay option from the main menu

  3. Tap the Pay option for the second time to load the option of transactions

Select your preferred transaction method after you tap the Pay option twice

6. How do I receive payments on Pay?

  1. When someone sends you USDC or USDT, you'll get an instant push notification from the OKX app, letting you know the funds are on their way.

    • If the sender shares a payment link via SMS or email, clicking the link will take you directly to our app download page (if you don’t have it yet), allowing you to access your funds.

    • Note: Before you can claim or use the funds, you must complete identity verification. This is required to meet compliance standards and protect both you and your assets from fraudulent activity.

    • Without completing this step, you won’t be able to receive or manage the transferred assets.

  2. Open the OKX app to review the amount and sender's info.

    • If you have a Pay account, the funds will automatically appear in your Pay balance.

    • If you are an existing OKX user without a Pay account, you'll need to follow the Pay onboarding process to activate Pay. Then, the funds will automatically appear in your Pay balance.

    • If you're a non-OKX user, you'll need to create a OKX account and a Pay account. Only then, the funds will automatically appear in your Pay balance.

  3. Once you receive the payment, you can then:

    • Send funds to other people.

    • Transfer to your Exchange account and convert the funds to your local currency.

7. Can I pay people who don't have an OKX account?

Yes, just enter their phone number or email address. If you've imported your contacts, simply search for the recipient’s name, phone number and email address. If the recipient doesn't have an OKX Account, they will need to create one in order to receive the payment.

8. Do I need an OKX account to use Pay?

Yes, you'll need to have a registered OKX account and complete identity verification and create a Pay account to send and receive payments with Pay.

9. What's Convert in Pay?

Convert allows users to convert funds they have in the Pay Wallet. Currently, you can’t receive funds directly from an external wallet address into Convert. If you do, the funds won’t appear in your balance and will remain hidden.

At this time, Convert to Pay only supports these features:

  • Manual convert: swap directly between supported stablecoins (for example, USDT and USDC) within the same network.

  • Auto-convert via Pay wallet flow: automatically convert supported stablecoins across networks (for example, USDT or USDC from X Layer to another like TRON or Ethereum) for seamless use in Pay.

Learn more about it here.

10. I sent a payment to the wrong person. What can I do?

Funds are irreversible once accepted. Funds will only be returned if the receiver doesn’t have an OKX account and fails to accept within 48 hours—in that situation, the payment will be refunded automatically.

11. Can I use Pay on a web browser?

Currently, you can only use Pay on the OKX app.

12. How can I check my available balance?

When you enter Pay flow, the available balance of USDC and USDT will display right below the pay amount.
